W4W and the local Liberian NGO United Youth is visiting Leyan town near Monrovia in Liberia. In Leyan town 760 people are sharing one handpump, limiting the amount of water to 2 buckets per household in the dry season. Charlie Uldahl Christensen are talking with different community members about the situation. For 3.500 $ (USD) W4W can help this community to get an additional handpump installed and double the quantity of water per household. United Youths professional engineers will undertake the installation and give the local community training in maintenance of the pump. United youth also pledge to be at the communities service if damages should appear for which they need professional assistance.
